I fail him everyday,

My sinful flesh fails in every way.

It's the work of Christ in me

That has set this soul free

I fail him daily,

But he has never failed on me.

I've tried so hard

To always do the right thing.

Sometimes I don't know which way is wrong or right.

It always seems

That I'm easily defeated

When I tread out on my own into the night.

Thank God for his mercy

That finds me when I'm lost

I thank him for forgiveness when I've gone the wrong way

No matter what

When I trust in Jesus

         He never fails me even when I fail him everyday.
