I was feeling down and discouraged

With the world in such disarray

Corruptness in high and mighty places

It seemed as though God had turned away

I prayed and prayed for clarity

You see, I found faith and I believed

Then God spoke and I heard him say

Child be calm and trust in me

It'll be alright, in the by and by

It'll be ok, just wait see

I'm here with you

And I am the light

And I am by your side

 

The doctors said, there is no hope

There's not much more we that we can do

Medicine for comfort we can provide

See your days on earth, well they are few

I prayed and prayed for clarity

Remember I'm the light

I opened my eyes in that great city

Heaven is where I longed to be

My life of sin, oh how could I be worthy

To be with Him and finally be free

I asked my Lord for clarity

He said you had faith and believed in me

My blood has paid for all your sin

Child of mine, you may enter in
