MY PROFESSIONAL PROFILE

There are so many people in the world who never have the opportunity to pursue the career they love. I’m not one of them. I love what I do and am very passionate about AV and keeping up with the newest technology. I'm a very intuitive learner and catch on to new things fairly quickly. If I do not already know how to use a piece of equipment then a quick read through of the user's manual and it won't be long before I am ready to go. I’m a hard worker, a team player and excited to see what events I will get the pleasure of being a part of.

I have over a decade of experience in live video production, sound reinforcement,  sound reproduction and editing.

Video

My video experience includes projection using Christie and Barco projectors (this includes Christie Twist, Autostack, Mirage and Barco Toolset). I am experienced with multi projector setups such as multi-projector convergence and edge blending and some mapping.  Most of my experience is with Barco presentation switchers. Specifically E2, FSN, Encore VP, Screen Pro II, Image Pro, PDS 902, Presentation Pro and other various products as well as all associated routers and controllers for the various systems. I am also experienced with Analog Way LiveCore processors, such as the Ascender and the NeXtage switchers. I not only have experience operating these systems, but also with designing, specification and setup of all these systems. I have done some complex multi destination shows that utilize multiple E2 processors. I also have experience with calling and cutting multiple camera shows. I do have experience on other switcher brands as well. Such as Panasonic and Blackmagic ATEM.  I have plenty of hands on experience on the engineer side of Sony Broadcast cameras. Specifically Sony D50 and HXC-100 and proper setup of these cameras utilizing vector-scopes and waveform monitors. I have also designed and built tally and com systems for these cameras and have a full understanding of how these systems work. I have experience using PZT robotic camera systems. I have a full understanding of video signal connectivity, SDI, HDMI, Displayport, video over fiber, etc. I have experience with multiple playback systems including Playback Pro and Qlab. I have experience utilizing and programming the AV Stumpfl Wing Vioso system which is a high powered multiple output media server system. I have also done Basic training on the Coolux Pandora's Box. Unfortunately, I have no experience with other server systems such as Hippo, D3, etc. But I am very interested in these systems and believe I could learn them quickly given the opportunity.  I have experience with Powerpoint and Keynote. I have completed a class that was given by Apple for Keynote. I am experienced in both Mac and PC platforms and have utilized all the office type software titles available on both systems. I am experienced with Photoshop as well as other graphic design programs. I have designed web pages before and mess around a little bit in software programming and coding. I am knowledgable with designing and setting up computer networks.

Audio

I originally started out as an audio engineer and have accomplished quite a bit in that area as well. I have experience with point source and line array speaker systems. Mostly with JBL product such as Vertec and VRX. I am a fluid Yamaha digital console user. I have experience on all the Yamaha consoles, PM5D, M7CL, CL, QL, LS9, 01V, etc. I do have experience with other brands as well. I also have experience with pretty much every analog desk out there as well. I have designed, setup and operated sound reinforcement systems of all types and sizes. I have taking multiple audio network classes and have been certified by Audinate for use of their Dante audio network. I have a lot of experience with Shure and Sennheiser wireless microphone systems. Including show that have had over 40 frequencies. I have experience utilizing Wireless Workbench as well as other frequency coordinating software and RF frequency scanners. I have experience with multiple types of microphones. Such as lavalier, podium mics, push to talk, headset mics, pzm mics, choir mics, etc.  I have experience with providing sound reinforcement for corporate events as well as bands and other entertainment.  I have mixed both FOH and monitor positions as well as system tech duties. I have a great knowledge of show power requirements. I can tie in power distribution systems and have a complete understanding of load balance, amperage and power draw, what size feeder and cable is needed for power requirements. I have experience operating and connecting to various power generators and distribution. I also have experience with serial control data (such as rs-232, rs422, etc), MIDI control, OSC and other control protocols. I have designed and built control systems for various projects utilizing these protocols and the Arduino platform. I have plenty of audio recording experience. I have used various mult-track audio software such as Protools, Sonar, Logic, Reaper, Cubase, etc. I have engineered and mixed multiple studio albums.

Lighting

I have some lighting experience. I understand intelligent lighting and DMX signal protocol. However, I do not have much experience with programming these types of fixtures. Most of my experience is with conventional lighting fixtures, dimmers and consoles. Source 4 par fixtures, ellipsoidal fixtures, Fresnel fixtures and spot lights.
